Thakur Hospital was started in 1979 by Late Dr CK Thakur & Dr (Mrs.) Sarita Thakur as a 10 bedded Nursing Home in the very heart of Old City. They were the First MBBS Doctor Couple in the entire city to start a Nursing Home & Provide Medical Services to the people of Karnal. As the city expanded they shifted the Hospital in HUDA in 1997.
Dr Anuj Thakur Joined The Hospital in 2008, After doing his Post Graduation In Paediatrics & Fellowship In Neonatology From Amrita Institute , Kochi. It was the Vision, Support & Blessings Of His Parents that enabled him to Establish the First Ever NICU in Karnal. Dr Gitanjali Thakur Joined the Hospital in 2010. She Did her Post Graduation In Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Followed By Senior Residency at Kasturba Hospital Delhi. She Served as a Consultant Gynaecologist In Government Hospital, Karnal before joining the Hospital. Under The Guidance of their Parents, they expanded their Horizons & shifted in this building in December 2015.
Dr C K Thakur Was a great visionary, it was his Thought To Go For NABH accreditation. We got accredited for Entry Level NABH in 2018, followed by Re Accreditation in 2020. Dr C K Thakur, was a man with a Heart Of Gold & was always involved in Community Services. He used to serve voluntarily in various health camps organised by Local Organisations Like Manav Seva Sang, Bharat Vikas Parishad, JCI, Maharaja Agrasen Society etc. Sadly, we lost him in 2020. He was a Great Pillar Of Strength For us. His Teachings & Values have kept us Going in the hardest of times.
We Got Full NABH Accreditation in 2022. The Values he imparted in us always encouraged us to serve Humanity. We have been actively involved in Charity Services Like Sponsoring Education Of Under Privileged Children, organising Free OPD camps, Health Talks in Various Schools & Colleges. In 2021 , Dr Rajiv Jain Joined us as a Physician which marked the beginning of a new chapter in our healthcare. Today as we stand here, we boast of a Full NABH accredited, 40 Bedded Multi speciality Hospital with one of the Best NICU in this region having 10 Cots , 6 Ventilators including HFO and WITH LOTS OF HAPPY SMILES.
